This package is great for families who have plenty of household help; a grandparent or other relative cooking meals, and maintaining housekeeping. The postpartum doula’s role will be to coach the new parents on newborn care, newborn feeding and stooling, how to read their infant’s cues, options for soothing baby, and discerning normal progression from needs for medical attention.
☽ Custom Care
If you know the number of visits per week, and the number of weeks you would like the support of a postpartum doula, you can build your custom package. Of course this can be adjusted/extended as needed and as schedule allows.
In-home postpartum doula visits have a 4-hour minimum per visit. Busy households and tired parents sometimes prefer a 5 or 6-hour visit. An example of 1 week of support can be 3 visits, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, for a total of 12 hours that week.
